The pioneers in distribution were the NY Film-makers Coop and Canyon Cinema Co-op, they are still operating as distribution centers for alternative forms of cinema. And in the Midwest, sandwiched between two famous artist-run film cooperatives the fledgling and short-lived 2CFC popped up as a pioneer with high hopes. Later, the Second City Film Center evolved into the Center Cinema Co-op from 1968 to 1976.

I ran searches on the web and could not find anything regarding the existence the Second City Film Center. Thought this might be of interest to people who are into experimental/underground/film history.
